How to Determine Your Electrical Bill for Your New Home

Moving is one of the most stressful experiences one can go through. There are many unknowns and therefore, lots of unexpected expenses as you transition to your new home. In addition, your monthly utility bills can be unfamiliar, especially if you are upgrading to a larger home. Did you know that some utility companies can provide you with a history of electrical usage and estimated costs of your electric bill? As you prepare to move, I encourage you to reach out to your new electrical company (in the Phoenix area, it’s either going to be APS or SRP), give them the new property address, and ask for an estimate of the electrical usage and costs. Keep in mind that there are several factors which will make the bill different for you than the prior homeowner. For example, a family with kids will often use more devices and leave more lights on than adults. In addition, if one family prefers to cook outside on the grill and another prefers to use the stove, which will drive up the A/C bill to cool the area down, those bills will look different too.

At Cirtcele Electric, we have been providing electrical service in the Phoenix area for decades. As such, we have made a commitment to educate our community on how they can be safe and frugal with regard to their electrical usage. Below are several prior articles containing money saving tips as well as electrical safety tips, which we hope you will appreciate.
